The Swing, Tar, ostrich feathers, steel cable, mirrored plexi, wood. 56" x 48" x 96". The Swing, titled after Fragonard’s painting of the same name is a tangle of tarred and feathered black kudzu that ensnares a mirrored swing seat. The loss of innocence and its memories here are quiet literally a sculptural Memento Mori. |
