Mt. Houston, 2004
moss and mixed media,
3’ x 11.3 x 12’.

Since arriving in New York I’ve envisioned the city as a grassy landscape rather than an urban metropolis. I first realized my conception in a miniature island mountain range roughly conforming to the topography of Manhattan-- the peaks on the hills corresponding to skyscrapers. Various Mountains have been commissioned, to date, including
Mt. Houston, at Diverse Works, Houston.
